Javier Reyes was an oceanographer with Centro Ecológico Cancun, a non-profit organization that monitors the health of the Gulf of Mexico. In the fall of 2002 Javier was introduced to NWIDI and soon became an integral member of the team as they covertly investigated underwater anomalies off the coast of Cuba and in the Bahamas. Later that year he married Linda McBride in Cancun but the couple was forced into hiding due to a warning from another NWIDI member.
